  1. It is true that the Oromo’s journey reflects the universal struggle for freedom and equality. From resisting colonial subjugation to fostering a democratic renaissance through Gadaa and Oromummaa, their story is a testament to the enduring power of collective identity and the pursuit of justice in the face of adversity. However, for Gadaa to truly serve the current needs of the Oromo, it must be reactivated and demonstrate the dynamic nature it once had. Simply describing its history is insufficient for addressing the challenges of today. For example, Gadaa must revise and adapt its inclusiveness/hammaachuu nature to prevent fostering division and internal conflict, which has historically bred enemies at home and encouraged infighting.
